The panels were ok but the freebies have noticeably gotten better. I was surprised to actually get a t-shirt that's exactly my size as a freebie. I also got a couple free trials to sites that I like and a bunch of stickers, cards, a fabric, and a calendar as well.
I managed to scoop up a lot of good photographs too. Didn't cosplay myself but took pictures of other cosplayers and most were really good. I'm super happy to take some with me and other cosplayers or crossplayers. I was a little bummed when one of my favorite characters declined my request for a photo but she was really polite about it so it wasn't too bad I guess.
I heard that the staff doesn't allow food and have confiscated other people's food upon entering. I got lucky and they somehow didn't notice me bringing food inside my bag. They DID however, blocked people from entering after like 7 for some reason. I never seen this happen before. People are usually open to go in and out but I was so bummed when they didn't allow people inside anymore after a certain time. Better not go outside unless you're absolutely sure you're not going back in...
Took the metro for $1 per trip. Wasn't too busy. I would always recommend the met if you're living around the LA area. I heard that parking is $25(?) per day but honestly, I don't mind that price because you get to go back and forth between your car to store stuff and that's the one perk I've been constantly wishing for throughout the day, especially after buying my wall scroll.
My only buy was a wall scroll for $33. At first, I questioned if this was the right purchase but after hanging this wall scroll, all of the sudden, it looks so much better and puts a smile on my face. :D No regrets anymore.
